Frequently Asked Questions
Find quick answers to common questions about the RSxlink network.
Users can expect target download speeds of up to 1.5 Gbps and upload speeds up to 200 Mbps, depending on the service plan and network availability in your region. Because RSxlink utilizes a Low Earth Orbit (LEO) constellation, latency is expected to be under 20ms, making it perfectly suitable for competitive gaming and high-definition video conferencing.
No professional installation is required. The RSxlink terminal is designed for a true plug-and-play experience. Simply place the terminal outside with a clear, unobstructed view of the sky, plug it into a power source, and use the RSxlink mobile app to complete the setup in under 2 minutes. The phased array antenna will electronically align itself to our satellites automatically.
The RSxlink terminal is IP56 rated, meaning it is built to withstand brutal environmental conditions, including hurricane-force winds, torrential rain, and extreme heat. Furthermore, it features an intelligent self-heating mechanism that detects and melts snow and ice to keep your signal clear. Extremely heavy storms may cause slight temporary speed degradation, but complete dropouts are rare.
Yes. If you are subscribed to the “Mobility (Roam)” plan, you can take your terminal anywhere on the same continent that has active RSxlink coverage. For maritime and aviation customers, specialized flat-panel roaming hardware provides global, in-motion connectivity across oceans and international airspace.
While our satellite constellation is designed for 100% global coverage, providing service in specific countries depends on local telecommunications regulatory approvals. We are continuously working with governments worldwide to secure these licenses. You can check your address availability on our Waitlist page.
